Cosmic Dance, what can I say? This sounds like a track that fits perfectly as an album end. Andrew's vocals on the verses are very reminiscent of Neil Young in his After The Gold Rush period. Then he brings it up to date in the chorus. The drums and bass are superb, melded with the guitars and keys the whole song creates just what he's singing about - a Cosmic Dance!

We all know the feeling of “running out of confidence”, but while this normally is an upsetting feeling the song of Andrew Goldring is a combination of precise words and reassuring melodies. It isn’t a song that catches your attention at first, but the steady calmness it is filled with, is reaching for your mind. And soon enough you will see yourself on a road-trip with wind blowing through your hair and this song playing on the radio. So let’s hit the road and enjoy some relaxing tunes.

Andrew Goldring drifts along with calm assurance through the hazy ambience of "Cosmic Dance". This meditative, engaging number is filled with low-key acoustic guitar strum, electric guitar afterburn, steady piano notes, soft percussion, and a gentle beat. Goldring lays his hushed, contemplative vocals and perceptive lyrics over this warmly welcoming sonic bed.

Like an asteroid or even a small piece of debris gently floating through the cosmos, Goldring creates a captivating soundscape that leaves you wanting more once the 4 minute and 24 second journey ends. It’s a great sonic experience.

Raven King's eponymous effort kicks off with a Nirvana influenced 'Carnival'. If you keep listening, you'll find that's just one of the many grunge influences that has been expertly woven into this album. The vocal quality is a little muddy in some songs, but perhaps that's what was intended. Drifting has the best production on the album and is easily a favorite. dominicwilliams86
